Speaking of mind control the original and most powerful exponent of such was of course the "catholic" church. Such control was enforced right from the beginning when the "official" version of the Bible was (fabricated) put together by those who won the culture wars of their time and place. They thus gained the political power to call anyone who disagreed with what they promoted was called a "heretic" and thus dealt with via the business end of a sword. Ever since the 'catholic" church has been a power-and-control heresy-hunting outfit.

Much later on the inquisition became the enforcer of the "official" dogmas.

At a different but related level the "catholic" church runs the biggest and most powerful "privately" owned propaganda, mind-control, brain-washing machine. It uses both electronic and paper methods to exercise control. It runs a hugely enormous TV and radio based mind control machine/network which reaches into almost every village on the planet.

It has a world-wide network of "catholic universities". It prints countless thousands of books, pamphlets etc. There are hundreds of "catholic" bloggers involved in the same project too.

The mind-control begins via the thousands of "catholic" parish schools wherein the very vulnerable children are taught (brain-washed) the "catholic" dogmas etc.

It also wields considerable political power too just by the fact that the vatican is defined and treated as an "independent" political state with all the powers and privileges that such entail - diplomatic immunity being a notable instance of such. It actively interferes in the politics of most countries. Even to the degree of the establishment of Concordats with some states which grant the church the power to veto any political and cultural developments with which it disagrees.

Yeah, the Catholic Church has yielded a lot of power for far too long and it’s doubtful they’d stay on top of it had they not been masters of manipulation and propaganda.

It helps to be into positive superstitions, but not the negative.

As long as it's not OCD, it's a positive spell!

Anyway check this out about nocebo and placebo and the second link is the other interesting mind games we play with ourselves.

Very interesting. It reminds me of those kids on TikTok who have gone viral for having Tourette’s. It seemed odd to me that it would be contagious. But these explain it.

Also, I’ve never even heard of Legions. I haven’t watched much fiction in the last few years, but that seemed pretty interesting.

> The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes superstition as: a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation.

Ok. Guilty!

REPLY: The definition is such that even science is guilty. Especially now with consensus science that is flying blind because it is not grounded in re-producible experiments.

For me the magic is all the microbial world can do, starting with Terra Forming Earth about 3+ billion years ago. Cleaving the H2O molecule at room temperature and so much more. By any measure the microbes are true magicians.

Now the possibility of Hydrogen fueled vehicles, trains, farm equipment. From an email I wrote someone about the future of hydrogen.

***

The main problem I see with Hydrogen powered anything in the future is this:

(Kevin McKernan)

This really struct home when we finally had 10 SOLiD sequencers humming along in Beverly Mass performing 50Gb runs and in a week we generated more sequencing data than was in all of Genbank from the beginning of time!

The marketing folks couldn’t predict the market size as the world had never seen such sequencing capacity before and generally under estimated the revolution ahead of us. The small minded marketing executive would tell us to make the instruments smaller and slower so you don’t cannibalize the sequencing market with a single machine.

Quoted from here here

ttps://anandamide.substack.com/p/dna-sequencing-and-market-failure?utm_campaign=email-post&r=bj7dw&token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjoxOTM3MTgxMiwicG9zdF9pZCI6MTQzMzYwMTM1LCJpYXQiOjE3MTI1MTAwMTYsImV4cCI6MTcxNTEwMjAxNiwiaXNzIjoicHViLTQ1Njc2OCIsInN1YiI6InBvc3QtcmVhY3Rpb24ifQ.1n6No6cUDBkuHoUDRtth4RY5NAY4tyS9qLp8frUQXDM&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

The opposite was true. The lower we brought the cost of sequencing, the more people discovered and the more hungry they became for more sequencing. There continues to be an insatiable appetite today.

It is because India has such deep motivation for a Hydrogen economy and the smarts to make it happen, that I have hope that the marketing folks in the US and EU will fail and for the first time in the last hundred years true innovation and imagination will take hold.

Musk as you have pointed out to me for many times is a fraud. I thought we said No Politics. Shocked you brought Biden into as far as I was concerned a technological discussion. I hope the Hydrogen genie is out of the bag. It is the basis of all energy in living systems since the beginning.

I will be following India's efforts. Smart people and they have a very long continuous history. It will be amazing to see the future evolve.

>Not sure where Biden came into the whole thing.

You are correct Biden should not have come into the magic of life. That was a copy of an email to someone who brought Biden into the conversation on the new to humans Hydrogen Energy future.

The New to humans Hydrogen future could be severely choked by corporate interests as it impacts the current energy sector. India on the other hand is strangled by those same corporate interests. India will move to hydrogen and free themselves of many international corporate choke holds.

Biden or any other president should not 3P the hydrogen future. Sorry for the confusion

Love it, Tonika. I actually did it - wrote down an intention for the eclipse and the next year. And exactly, why not? I'll cast my own damn spells, thank you very much. As for the eclipse, I am assiduously ignoring it... just cuz people are falling for another brief mania. Maybe it's all another evil experiment by you-know-who, who fan the flames and keep notes. So here's a wish for those ignoring it likewise: may our resistance to the madness of crowds grow and spread! xoxo

I'm with your dear friend in England on this! The eclipse is about 8pm over here in UK (just under three and a half hours from writing this) and I shall be meditating on all good things. It's already happening actually. Structures are collapsing all around us. Some fast (I see the symbolism in both Baltimore and Oklahoma - talking about superstitions!!! :) ) and others much slower - our institutions whether it be religious, educational, political or financial are all imploding. Ain't gonna be easy but we are going to win this. If anything is symbolic then this solar eclipse is. Death and rebirth. I think we're done with the 'end of the beginning' and we're now at the 'beginning of the end.' (Okay, I give you all permission to give me a good kicking if I'm wrong - but I'm not. Whey hey!)

Nice essay!

I saw a solar eclipse in Vietnam a few years ago. It got a bit dark and cool, the birds went quiet, and then it got warm again. Western Australia had quite a significant one last year and people went camping and had parties - I was napping and missed it :)

I really am quite taken aback with the hysteria surrounding the one in the US at the moment. Not the eclipse itself, but all the Babylonian reactions to it...and even they could predict eclipses.

Thinking of you.

Yeah, I’m genuinely surprised about the hysteria. I bet the Aussies had a grand time camping with the eclipse. Sounds like my kind of party.

Yes. I hadn't considered the power of everyone's damn speculations and fear mongering -- it seems obvious, now that you mention it! 🙄

So here is something I read this morning that draws on Rudolf Steiner's writing about solar eclipses. (Is there ANYTHING that man didn't write about??)

"How do we meet this eclipse consciously? One answer is found in the appearance of the Sun during the eclipse. The center of the Sun [will be] darkened by the Moon’s shadow, but this offers a

beautiful view of the corona radiating around the Sun, which is really only visible during eclipse time...

We can clearly see this beautiful corona and should focus our thoughts on the power of the Christ force which radiates throughout the cosmos from this crown of the Sun, and this force which now shines from within the Earth through the union of human beings with this spiritual power. The eclipse is not a time for inner meditation but of being fully awake to the Christ force within us to bring that light into this shadow time."

I love the idea of joining with other human beings to bring light into this shadow time. Or as you so eloquently put it, "bathe the darkness with the light of our divinity and set forth the timeline we wish to live." I'm so with you, Tonika! Catch you on the flip side...🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
