Thank you, Daisy! It was a real treat!

I must say, I prefer Reno to Vegas any damn day. My experience was tainted by moving to the United States at 12 and living in LV for six weeks. I didn’t speak English, had to walk everywhere and cars would pull up and would try to get me to go inside. 🤮 Everything was extra fake and chaotic and my child like observations that it was a pretend town like an amusement park for adults.

I really enjoyed the company in Reno. And also meeting with MAA.

Thanks for taking a gander of the music video. :)

Expand full comment

oh mah goodness, yup, I kin see why yer not too keen on Vegas... it's an acquired taste fer sure (the fake you observed is actually the fun part fer a few of us steeped in that totally weird arty-fish-all tea) an' tho' I had no idear about the "predators" there (ugh, that's creepy)-- the place is indeed predatory in that it's indeed a twisted kinda fake amusement "park" that gits folks ta part with their money--BUT some of the best "acts" (read that all ways) have performed there which is my end of the fondness--tho I had more 'n one friend that WENT to Vegas to git married by Elvis impersonators! (fwiw too, Chicago had a fine one--Jay Elvis!--long gone but he was legendary! https://chicagoreader.com/music/jay-elvis-is-dead-cincinnati-by-the-lake/)

Anywho--SO glad ya enjoyed yerself in Reno--I guess it's the anti-vegas ;-)

"with a lucky horseshoe stuck up my rump"

Lol, I wasn't aware that having a horseshoe up your ass was a known expression outside of the Chicago bookie community. I grew up around that.

I didn’t know that was an expression in a niche group. I don’t know any bookies but I do live in Chi so maybe it just rubbed off when we were growing up.

Oh funny. Maybe it's just a Chicago phrase.

I am bowing down to the Thumbnail and the Tonika, what a friggin' team! But did it get intercepted already? Three times I hit like and my thumbnail appeared and disappeared. Then I tried to repost and it said I couldn't. Then I tried to post my comment and it said I was blocked from commenting on it. Is this just me or everybody?

Whatever Thumbnail was apologizing for in the text swirled right past me with the conspira-savvy lyrics, the excellent dancy beat, the mind-bending animation, the snappy scene layering. This is masterful!

High praise, T, glad you were able to overcome whatever weirdness is happening with Substack and comment. 🙌

I had trouble with hyperlinking Thumbnail’s post (it would only show up as code) and it still won’t let me add him as co-author. Maybe they only let people do that once and since he did it, I can’t?

The true test would be when I try uploading it to normie platforms. Let’s see if YT will let it slide.

I would be careful if keeping your YT matters to you. It may not be the political but the anal sex metaphors that are triggering the algorithm. It's such a damn good song and presentation, though, it may be worth the risk. They must have a different leeway for song lyrics, given other rapper styles that don't set off alarm bells.

Pass my admiration on to him, since I can't express it directly.

Will do. And I bet you, you’re right, it is the butt stuff that’s setting it off. Lemme see where I am with my strikes. Maybe I can get away with it.

Thanks for sharing your adventure, Tonika! A two-week water fast is NO JOKE. I don't think I'd make it two days. So...today on the phone with a friend who lives here, he mentioned that he just saw a fox and I said "Can you believe I haven't seen a fox here yet??" 🦊 XOXO

Link if you get the chance, please. I’m just about completely over the distilled and alkaline waters. I can recognize the taste in my sleep. Getting my hands on some structured water this week. I want to look into volcanic water.

https://www.mineral-calculator.com/compare-waters/2203/ - nice comparator except they don't include the (OSA) orthosilicic acid content which is in theory critical for detoxing from aluminum. Didn't I mention the connection between aluminum and breast cancer?

Excellent list:

I might not have mentioned Gerolsteiner water since it's not exactly cheap but it's great and it's available from many stores.

Just what I need this morning! Love the collaboration - listened twice and danced through the second time.

We're so much bigger than we appear - in these bodies - something you just naturally convey and remind us of. With humor, honestly, humility and spunk.

Thanks for sharing parts of your roadtrip, substack friendships. (You and MAA together makes me tear-up) And updates on the can-can stuff.

Your spirit always come through, Tonika, and sets the tone- whatever subjects are covered in your posts. You can't not do that - inspire, expand and express.

Adventures in the Visceral for sure- yes, that's why we're here.

So grateful for you.❤️

Gotta get me in the feels on this rainy melancholy morning, dontcha?!? I really hope we get to adventuring one day soon as well. I didn’t include any photos of Margaret and I (I really should have taken more pictures) but I am hopeful she’ll include some in her posts which, I’m sure, will have better worded emotions than my brain can muster at the moment.

I appreciate the kind words, but especially refreshing to hear “spunk” made the list. Felt that went away with my youth but here we are, bringing it out of each other. So damn nice. Thank you.

This report from the terrain of your life makes me so glad to be a dissident in this moment and so grateful for your voice and work, Tonika. I had a similar experience when I first met the NAAS crew (and have had a version of it every time I’ve reached across the ether to meet my soul brothers and sisters in the flesh). Deep hugs for the win! May our own two paths cross before we shuffle off this mortal coil, too. 😊 (And as for that I have a strong strong sense you won’t be doing that any time soon, sister… Godspeed at your appointment). 🙏❤️

Nothing to do but plant the seed in the universe for our path to cross (before we shuffle off this mortal coil- love that!!) we gots lots more hugging to squeeze in, I bet!

I never made it out to the NAAS meetings. There were so many interesting individuals that were connected through that philosophy. There are only a handful of which I keep in touch with. But the conversations in that online community transcended all my understandings of connection.

Thank you, Brian. Lovely, as always, to have your spirit here.

I'm vacillating between joy at your get-together (not the right word but whatever) and FOMO. There's nothing better -- literally -- than gathering with other like-hearted souls!! The description of your and Margaret's hug beings to tears to my own eyes. We are on quite the adventure in this lifetime, friends, are we not?

And "pronoia"! Where has this word been all my life?? Finally, it arrives to describe the truth of my/our existence!

Finally, the video: Nailed. It. By god you're talented, Tonika. You need to stick around for a looong time to keep creating ART, so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼on the upcoming scans. Not that I'm worried -- cuz, well, pronoia.

Love you...❤️

Well, since crediting original words seems to be a theme for me, I suspect it came from Rob Brezsny who wrote the book Pronoia in 2009: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1556438184.

I did my first Tonic Masculinity post on Rob, after he banned me for 100 years for saying men shouldn't be defining feminine intelligence: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/tonic-masculinity-and-feminine-wiles. I also was a groupie, of sorts, for Rob's band, Tao Chemical, and later lived with his brother for a couple of years. Rob was probably the greatest influence on my 20's.

Despite our rift, I've never met anyone with a greater facility with words or a more intuitive sense of empowering people through horoscopes. As I just looked his stack up, blocking me from posting as a paid sub hasn't hurt him--he's now at 71K subs. But I note that he's still in the stuck place where I left him. His latest is a liberal rant deriding the 80 people who unsubbed him for his endorsement of Harris/ Walz: https://newsletter.freewillastrology.com/p/not-sticking-to-astrology.

But Pronoia is an excellent concept and book. A homeless guy gave me my copy.

I heard “pronoia” a few years back and I thought it was one of those new agey words that people would make fun of. But I resonate with it anyway, and I have a post written about synchronicities that I know is gonna sound pretty woo woo, but that’s how we do, don’t we? So, I’m actually very relieved to discover no one has ridiculed it yet.

Since all you’ve said here is a balm to the heart and I do hope I get to stick around for longer with a promise to elevate the words of hyper aware and consciousness expanding nerds like yourself, I’m pretty sure Providence is scheming in making all that happen. Many more hugs abound. Love you so hard. ❤️

OMG! In spite of waking up every morning in tears, I’ve lately been telling myself, “Everything is unfolding as it should.”

As we sit on the brink of nuclear annihilation, brought about by Satanic forces that purport to “govern” our nation, the only thing that helps me maintain my sanity is that “Everything is unfolding as it should.”

I will not fear what man can do to me. We were not born for this world. May God have mercy on our souls.

What was that saying, “whether you think it is or it isn’t, you’re right.”? Something like that. Telling ourselves “everything is unfolding as it should” every day just might will it so.

Excellent! I love it. I am a Pronoia fan, believing we have "millions of little miracles" happening all through our lives. We do not necessarily pay attention to them and some call it just "luck" or "coincidence".

I love Einstein's words on this:

"Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous."

Good luck for your diet and treament!

With much love and many prayers. xoxo
