Only reading this after seeing it in your one-year anniversary post, so... roughly 8 months late. Actually my own one-year substacker-versary will be in February - begun during the heat of the convoy madness. I find thinking back to that time still too raw, the trauma of it all too newly-receded, and having only very recently been able to find any peace, if I take myself back there, the level of emotion disables me. That being said, this was very well written in terms of the perspective it gives, and Very poignant.
I was glued to Rebel News for days. I thought if the truckers rose up, the whole world is going to. It was monumental, even if it didn’t topple the globalists over. David had stood firm against Goliath. And it gave people hope. I was so inspired by it.
I went for one day, on the second day that it was going on; I hesitate to say that it was "an amazing experience", although it was of course, but those words get misunderstood and people think it was 'fun', or "i had a good time". Uh...no, this does not count as something fun or a good time. Today's news here in Canada is that the citizens of Ottawa are filing a class action suit against everyone involved -truckers AND everyone who donated. This whole insane business of people claiming damages from honking and what was basically a carnival limited to the downtown area of the city, how much they suffered due to the convoy, etc... it just enrages me. Seriously???
It was a truly inspiring event though, no question about it, just monumental. A moment in history, and in spite of the idiocy in the backlash against it, I do think it made a difference and we are in a far better place because of it.
Yes, the comparison is more for literally purpose. The general understanding of antibodies is an immune response so I was using it to say that once you butt heads with fascism, you can recognise it for what it is. But in medical terms, you’re right, of course.

Wow! This one was amazing!
🙏
No. I’m done voting. To vote is to assert that this system works. I’d rather build parallel societies and local economies.
